It’s the last day of November and with the writing of this post I am very happy to say that I am completing my goal to post every day this month. It’s not as easy as it sounds. And I have to say I am absolutely thrilled and floored that I actually did it. This is a new kind of accomplishment for me.
- It’s a writing accomplishment. And I make and break those goals almost every d.a.m.n. day.
- It’s a personal goal as opposed to a collaborative goal. And while I always work hard to hold up my part of the bargain on a collaborative project, I almost always let my personal goals slip by year after year.
So I hope this accomplishment will help me to see that I can keep the promises I make to myself and give me the faith I need to think about what I want, decide how to go about accomplishing that, and to take the action necessary to “make it so”.
(Have I mentioned that I have a mad crush on Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard? Oh, baby!)
Anyway, back to “make(ing) it so”. First I want to spend some time thinking about the “so” I want to make. And that will be the focus for December.
I also want to thank the wonderful bloggers who have been on this journey with me in November who probably aren’t aware of the incredible inspiration they gave me.
Liesl Garner of Waffle Wednesday | Artists & Children & Chickens, Oh My
Liesl, you have kept me going. Thank you so much! Your posts have inspired me as a parent, a citizen, an artist, and a writer. You are an incredibly creative mother and your love for your family shines through everything you write. I’m looking forward to staying connected as we both move forward on this journey. I wish I could reach through this computer monitor and give you a great big hug.
Thank you for all your kind words and for reaching out to me. Your philosophy which you blend so beautifully with practicality, belief and action hand in hand, is exactly the kind of inspirational writing that I crave. I’m looking forward to learning more from you and to continuing the dialogue.
To Barbara Storey from Storeylines | one person, many lives …:
I truly appreciate your creative path. Our journey, while very different, also seem to have a lot in common at heart. It’s wonderful to find a curious compadre! Congratulations on completing NaBloPoMo. Thanks for finding me.
And Kathy, The Giggling Truckers Wife:
You are a blogging mastermind! A force of blogging nature! I am so impressed with your writing stamina and your creativity. It will take me awhile to catch up (I don’t believe I ever can, but it’s not a race, is it?) and to read more, but I’m looking forward to it. Thank you for reaching out.
And to Dee Dee and Leslie, thank you for reading and encouraging and most of all for being in my life. ((((Hugs))))
Okay. So long, November. Bring it, December!
